Animals were immunized with D1.1 cells (see ATCC CRL-10915). Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells. The antibody recognizes an antigen present on T cells that is important to the T cell mediated activation of B cells. The antigen is a ligand for the CD40 molecule on the B cell surface. |
