Animals were immunized with the BMS2 bone marrow derived stromal cell line. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells. The antibody weakly blocks adhesion of a B cell hybridoma (BM-2) to BMS2 cells or to hyaluronate coated dishes. The antibody prevents growth of lymphoid and myeloid cells in long term bone marrow cultures. KM703 recognizes an epitope unrelated to those detected by KM81, KM114 and KM201 (see ATCC TIB-241, ATCC TIB-242 and ATCC TIB-240). |
