The antibody neutralizes polymerase alpha activity, and reacts with polymerases from several species. The cells need to be in culture for 6 to 7 days before antibody production is detectable. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |

Mice were immunized with fraction VIII human DNA polymerase alpha. Alpha. Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells. The antibody neutralizes polymerase alpha activity, and reacts with polymerases from several species. The cells need to be in culture for 6 to 7 days before antibody production is detectable.
